Mrs. Savala-Wright - 8th Grade Language Arts
I have been teaching middle school for almost 18 years and I still look forward to coming to school every day! I want my students to love reading and writing and I will do my best for you students each day. We will read stories, articles and a novel about the Revolutionary War as a support and supplement to what students are learning in history with Mrs. Wykstra this quarter.
We will also write an autobiography in an ECR format (5 paragraph essay), several SCR's (paragraphs), and probably one or two creative writing pieces. As in all the Red Team classes, we will take a Friday quiz over vocabulary, grammar and Latin phrases (because so much of English is Latin based). Please feel free to contact me for any reason with any questions. Thank you for entrusting your student to me.
